กระบวนการทำฟาร์มไส้เดือนบ้านคาการ์เด้น (Bankhagarden's Earthworm Farming Processes)

ขั้นตอนที่ 1 การเตรียมวัสดุเพื่อเลี้ยงไส้เดือน

ฟาร์มไส้เดือนบ้านคาการ์เด้นเลี้ยงไส้เดือนพันธุ์อัฟริกันไนท์ครอว์เล่อร์ อาหารที่ไส้เดือนพันธุ์นี้ชอบคือมูลวัวนม  การเตรียมมูลวัวนมให้เป็นอาหารของไส้เดือน ต้องทำให้ขนาดเล็ก ทำให้นิ่ม และปราศจากแก๊สมีเทน วิธีทำมีขั้นตอนดังนี้

1. นำมูลวัวนมมา 4 ถุง ถุงละประมาณ 10 กิโลกรัม มาย่อยให้ขนาดเล็กลง แล้วเทลงในถังซีเมนต์ให้เต็ม
2. ใส่น้ำลงในถังซีเมนต์เพื่อหมักมูลวัวเป็นเวลา 3 วัน ในแต่ละวันให้ถ่ายน้ำทิ้ง แล้วเติมน้ำเข้าไปใหม่จนเต็มถัง เพื่อให้มูลสะอาดและไล่แก๊สมีเทนที่มีอยู่ในมูลวัว (ไส้เดือนจะอยู่ไม่ได้ในสภาพที่มีแก๊สมีเทน)
3. เมื่อครบ 3 วัน ให้ปล่อยน้ำทิ้งให้หมด แล้วทำการตักใส่เข่งพักไว้จนมูลวัวมีสภาพหมาดๆ จึงเคลื่อนย้ายไปยังโรงเรือนเลี้ยงไส้เดือน

Step 1 Bedding Material Preparation

Bankhagarden's farm is raising African Nightcrawler worms. This species prefer eating milk-cows' dung. This type of bedding material has to be prepared into small pieces, soften, and get rid of methane gases. Preparing processes are as follows:

1. Fill 4 bags @ 10 kilograms of milk-cows' dung into a cement tank. While filling, the dung must be reduced into small pieces by passing through a small crusher.
2. The milk-cows' dung will be composted in this cement tank for 3 days by using only clean water. During this 3 days the water should be drained and be refilled once everyday in the evening. The importance of this process is to clean and get rid of methane gases from the dung (the earthworm cannot live in the bedding material which contain methane gases).
3. After 3 days, drain all water from the composted dung and remove the damp composted dung to the worm raising house.  
 

 

 

ขั้นตอนที่ 2 การเลี้ยงไส้เดือน

1. ตักมูลวัวนมที่หมักแล้วใส่กล่องพลาสติก กล่องละประมาณ 10 กิโลกรัม
2. นำไส้เดือนประมาณ 250 กรัม ใส่ลงไปด้านบนของกล่อง ไส้เดือนจะเลื้อยลงไปด้านล่างของกล่องเอง และจะกินมูลวัวหมักเป็นอาหารและผสมพันธุ์อยู่ในกล่อง
3. ในระหว่างการเลี้ยงต้องเติมน้ำให้ความชื้นแก่มูลวัวทุก 5 วัน เมื่อเลี้ยงไส้เดือนได้ 15 วัน ต้องทำการกลับมูล โดยพลิกมูลจากข้างล่างขึ้นบนและบนลงล่าง เพื่อให้ไส้เดือนกินอาหารอย่างทั่วถึง
4. เมื่อถึงวันที่ 20 หยุดให้น้ำ ไส้เดือนจะกินมูลวัวที่เหลือจนหมดในเวลาประมาณ 30 วัน

Step 2 Earthworm Raising

1. Fill a plastic box with  10 kilograms of the composted dung.
2. Put 250 grams of earthworm on the composted dung, the worm will crawl inside the box and will eat the composted dung and breeding inside the box.
3. The composted dung will be moistened every 5 days, after 15 days of feeding all the composted dung must be turned upside down so that the worm can easily eat all of the bedding material.
4. Stop moisten the bedding material after 20 days of feeding, the worm will eat all of the dung in 30 days. 

  

  

  

ขั้นตอนที่ 3 การแยกไส้เดือนออกจากมูลไส้เดือน

1. หลังการเลี้ยง 30 วัน ไส้เดือนจะกินมูลวัวหมักหมดทั้งกล่อง และทิ้งมูลไส้เดือน ตัวอ่อน และไข่ฟัก ไว้ในกล่องแทน ซึ่งมูลไส้เดือนที่ได้จะหนักเพียงประมาณ 6 กิโลกรัม หรือ 60% ของน้ำหนักอาหารที่เลี้ยง ต้องทำการแยกไส้เดือนออกจากมูลไส้เดือนทันที เพราะถ้าทิ้งไว้ต่อไปในกล่อง ไส้เดือนจะขาดอาหารและตัวจะเล็กลง 
2. วิธีการแยกไส้เดือนออกจากมูลไส้เดือน ให้เทกล่องมูลไส้เดือนลงไปในเครื่องร่อน เครื่องร่อนจะแยกตัวไส้เดือนออกจากมูลไส้เดือน ก็นำไส้เดือนที่แยกออกมาไปทำการเลี้ยงต่อไป(ตามขั้นตอนที่ 2)
3. ส่วนมูลไส้เดือนที่ร่อนได้(ร่อนหยาบ) ยังมีความชื้นอยู่สูง และมีตัวอ่อนของลูกไส้เดือนรวมทั้งไข่ฟักที่ยังฟักไม่ออกอีกจำนวนมาก ต้องนำไปผึ่งไว้ในที่ร่มเป็นเวลาอีก 2-3 วัน ขึ้นอยู่กับสภาพอากาศ และความแห้งของมูลไส้เดือน

Step 3 Separating Earthworms from Worm Castings

1. After 30 days of feeding, whole box of composted dung will be eaten, remainder in the box will compose of worm castings, baby worms, and hatching eggs. Total weight of the remainder will be approximately 6 kilograms or 60% yield of original weight. At this stage The productive earthworms must be immediately separated from the worm castings. If not the earthworms will be diet and the body size will be slim.
2. By using a rotary screen, the earthworms will be easily separated from the worm castings. The separated earthworms will be continue raising in the raising house (as mentioned in step 2).
3. Worm castings from the first screening(rough screening) will be high moisture contents. There are a lot of baby worms and hatching eggs in the worm castings. Therefore, all rough screening worm castings should be kept for drying under the shed at room temperature for 2-3 days up to the climate and the look of the worm castings.
  
  

  

  

ขั้นตอนที่ 4 การร่อนละเอียดกับการแยกตัวอ่อนและไข่ไส้เดือน

1. เมื่อมูลไส้เดือนแห้งพอเหมาะก็ทำการร่อนละเอียดเพื่อแยกตัวอ่อนและไข่ไส้เดือนออกจากมูลไส้เดือน
2. มูลไส้เดือนละเอียดที่ร่อนได้ ก็ผึ่งทิ้งไว้ในที่ร่มอีก 2-3 วัน เพื่อให้แห้งและร่วน แล้วนำไปบรรจุถุงพลาสติกเพื่อนำไปใช้ในแปลงเพาะปลูก และนำส่วนเกินออกจำหน่ายแก่ผู้ที่สนใจเกษตรอินทรีย์ทั่วไป
3. สำหรับตัวอ่อนและไข่ไส้เดือน ก็รวบรวมไว้แล้วนำไปเลี้ยงต่อในโรงเรือนอนุบาลอีก 3 เดือน ไส้เดือนที่อนุบาลไว้ก็จะโตพอที่จะนำเข้าสู่โรงเรือนผลิตมูลไส้เดือนต่อไป

Step 4 Fine Screening and Separating Baby Worms and Hatching Eggs

1. After 2-3 days of drying, the worm castings we be manually fine screening to separate the baby worms and hatching eggs from the worm castings.
2. The fine screened worm castings will be kept under the shed for drying another 2-3 days. The free-flow dry worm castings will be packed in the plastic bags for use in the owned farm. The excess portions will be sold out to interested organic farming parties.
3. The baby worms and the hatching eggs will be collected for raising in the nursery for at least 3 months. After 3 months the baby worms will become productive worms and will be moved to the raising house for worm castings production.
